Auris Musical Instruments

Founded by the Swedish carpenter and musician Kjell Andersson 40 years ago, Kjell chose the Latin word auris meaning “belonging to the ear”. Today Auris is recognized around the world by teachers, musicians and those with a good sense of sound and design. It is his intention to inspire the player, wake the curiosity and desire for playful, musical creativity.

Auris would like see people to achieve harmony between what the ear hears, the hand feels and the eye sees. This is especially important for a growing child. To have true awakening of the senses musically will harmonize and strengthen the whole human being and increase creativity, intelligence and the capability for learning.

Auris is equally devoted to its social commitment and employs people with disabilities and assists them to learn a trade in instrument making.
